Biomedical Science Technician

Reports to: Senior Engineer

Job Summary: Provide cell culture support for scientific and engineering projects in the development of biological products from research and development to clinical manufacturing

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Execute biological and mechanical assays, physical and analytical test methods and other assays on products and product samples
  • Participate with our multi-functional team, on the development of new regenerative medicine products and manufacturing of current products
  • Assist in the development and execution of Process Verification and Validation activities
  • Prepare technical and manufacturing documents and reports
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and safety requirements
  • Maintain files, records, and equipment
  • Assist in product manufacturing and documentation efforts
  • Perform ongoing product stability testing
  • Record data, log activities and monitor processes
  • Achieve and maintain proficiency through training
  • Operate and maintain equipment within the scope of training utilizing defined schedules and written instructions to perform quality control checks, preventive maintenance, and calibration.
  • Recognize critical, abnormal and unacceptable test results and follow-up according to established protocols

Education and Experience:

  • Understanding of basic biology and mechanics
  • QC, Clinical or R&D testing experience
  • Current Good Practices documentation experience
  • Wet lab and cell culture experience
  • 1-3 years experience preferred
  • High school degree required
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
